Bread is a staple food prepared by cooking a dough of flour and water and often additional ingredients. Doughs are usually baked, but in some cuisines breads are steamed (e.g., mantou), fried (e.g., puri), or baked on an unoiled skillet . It may be leavened or unleavened.
A crêpe or crepe, is a type of very thin pancake, usually made from wheat flour. The word is of French origin, meaning "curled". While crêpes originate from Brittany, a region in the northwest of France, their consumption is widespread in France.
A pancake is a thin, flat, round
cake prepared from a batter, and cooked on a hot griddle or frying
pan. Some pancakes use a yeast-raised or fermented batter. Most
pancakes are cooked one side on a griddle and flipped partway
through to cook the other side.
A pie is a baked dish which is usually made of a pastry dough casing that covers or completely contains a filling of various sweet or savoury ingredients. A filled pie has pastry lining the baking dish, and the filling is placed on top of the pastry, but left open.
